PAYMENT PROCESS

The customer selects Mooney as the payment method. They are redirected to the Mooney platform (or receive instructions via the API) to obtain a payment token. The customer then visits a Mooney point of sale, presents the token, and completes the payment in cash or with another accepted method.

SECURITY

Mooney complies with PCI-DSS standards and ensures the protection of sensitive information. No banking data is stored by the merchant.

USER EXPERIENCE

  1. The customer selects Mooney on the merchant site.
  2. The customer is redirected to the Mooney platform (or receives instructions via the Order API with forward_url) where they receive a payment token (e.g., a barcode or a unique code).
  3. The customer visits a Mooney point of sale
  4. The customer presents the payment token to the cashier at the Mooney point of sale.
  5. The customer pays the amount due using cash or another accepted payment method at the point of sale.
  6. The Mooney system confirms the payment to HiPay.
  7. A confirmation page is displayed on the merchant site (after HiPay notifies the merchant of the successful payment).

The response returns a forward_url, which must be used to redirect the customer.

BEST PRACTICES FOR MOONEY INTEGRATION

  • Always use payment_product=sisal, even though the payment method is branded Mooney.
  • Use payment_product_list=sisal with the Hosted Page API.
  • Redirect the customer to the exact forward_url returned by HiPay.
  • Handle the transaction as pending until the payment is completed.
  • Consider the order paid only when the transaction reaches the CAPTURED status.
  • Test the integration in Stage before using the Production endpoint.
